wings, paste and pan bread

Okay it wasn’t really paste but it was decidedly paste-like. It is a rutabaga potato combo that I accidentally pureed a little past the puree stage.

The drumettes with Asian-style BBQ sauce (included the five-spice) were fast and tasty but I’m a little disappointed with the onion pan bread. It is a Bittman’s How to Cook Everything recipe and it was a little sweet for me, kind of like onion cake.

  1. Follow-up: I’ve found that onion “cake” is better with chili, kind of like sweet corn bread. It has to be the thick, meaty, spicy variety though not the watery, bland with elbow macaroni variety.
