Squid ink pasta

So black pasta isn’t all that attractive, I know. It is squid ink pasta and I can’t say that the flavor is very strong. I used a recipe for Spaghetti Vongole (Best-Ever 500 Recipes), of course whole foods did not have baby clams so I bought some regular littlenecks and a couple squid tubes to go with the squid ink pasta. It wasn’t really anywhere close to the same as, el fresco by the sea with a glass of the local white wine in the cinque terre, but it was a close enough approximation to invoke the memory of that meal, which is all you can really hope for when you live almost smack dab in the middle of a continent.
